Love & Couples – Taste of the Study
The creation of the couples – revealing and concealing- how does this play out when creation was created?
The first creation of Adam – is male and female. This is Adam. Inside Adam, there is already a couple, that can’t relation because they are standing back to back. This mean they can’t search and see the face of each other. What does it mean? there is no ability to recognize its difference or being. When we are back to back, the only reflection we can see is our own.
What Torah is saying: in order to deeply understand your identity, you can only find it in the face of another. So, it needed the split.
We think split is linear – half and half. But, that’s not the way it happened…it was split to one third and two thirds. Which means they both have male and female parts.
Not in terms of female and male we know in our corporal life – but rather the ability to receive and bestow
